A particular highlight of his address was the 3-day school trip, which took students to the scenic locations of Lake Velence, Esztergom, and Tata, an eagerly awaited opportunity for both relaxation and bonding after a productive school year spent mainly behind the desk.

Mr. Steve also mentioned that the September trip to Verőce has already been booked by Mr. Sándor, continuing Avicenna’s tradition of meaningful student excursions.

In a surprising and exciting announcement, he shared that eco trips to France and Turkey are currently being developed, thanks to an invitation from a French partner school. These trips will complement the school’s “usual” Erasmus+ programs, offering students even more international learning experiences in the coming academic year.

Art Meets Memory: Student Portraits on Display

The creative spirit of the school was showcased through a unique initiative led by Mr. András M., Avicenna’s art teacher. In his speech, he introduced his latest project: a series of paintings of Grade 11 students, now exhibited in Room 209. While most works are realistic portraits, several humorous caricatures created at the request of students themselves added a lighthearted touch. Mr. András spoke with pride about the artistic journey and how the paintings capture the essence of this year’s student community.
