Italian Erasmus Students Experience Learning and Culture at Avicenna High School
From March 10-15, Avicenna High School had the pleasure of welcoming 12 students from Nocera Umbra, Italy, for a week-long Erasmus mobility filled with academic engagement and cultural exploration. This initiative aimed to strengthen international connections, foster intercultural understanding, and provide students with a truly immersive experience.
Each morning, our Italian guests joined lessons and interactive workshops, gaining insight into our school’s dynamic and international learning environment. They actively participated in classroom discussions, collaborated with Avicenna students, and experienced different teaching methodologies.
The afternoons were dedicated to exploring Budapest’s rich history and vibrant culture. The program included a guided tour inside the magnificent Hungarian Parliament, where students marveled at the grand halls and historical artifacts. At Heroes’ Square and Vajdahunyad Castle, they learned about Hungary’s key historical figures and architectural heritage. A visit to the Castle District provided breathtaking views and a glimpse into the country’s medieval past. To round off their experience, they explored the Central Market Hall, where they discovered traditional Hungarian flavors, handicrafts, and local delicacies.
Beyond sightseeing, the exchange was an opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange and lasting friendships. Avicenna students and their Italian peers shared experiences, perspectives, and plenty of laughter, making the week an unforgettable one.
