Mobility Experience Harout Parseghian Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the school’s directors and informed of the location where we needed to gather to be introduced with our trainers. From the Avicenna International College (AIC) in Budapest, I took part in an Erasmus short term mobility course in the Eternal City in the first week of December 2021 as part of our project called Building a network in the field of education within the EU. The time of the visit was carefully chosen to fall on one of the two days special folklore festivals held once a year, called St. Martin’s day, the first day of winter and the last day before the 40 days of Advent, where feast, balls, fairs used to be held. People ate goose and drank new wine and said: „Eat a goose on St. Martin’s Day or you will starve all year”.
Having met at Szell Kalman Square at 10.30, the six AIC students with the guides took a few minute’s rides by bus (16A) to the Royal Castle. Mr. Andras Piko, Mayor of Budapest 8th District, accompanied by the Deputy-Mayor and the Head of Cabinet, visited Avicenna International College on Tuesday 26 of October 2021. On this occasion, AIC colleagues introduced the educational programs for the Hungarian and international students.
