On 21 November, our two Erasmus groups delivered their official dissemination presentations-an essential requirement for completing their international mobility programmes. Each group prepared detailed PowerPoint slides and presented their experiences, academic achievements, and cultural impressions gained abroad. The presentations showcased not only the students’ communication skills but also their growth, confidence, and the lasting impact of the by now 5-year-old Erasmus tradition at Avicenna.

The first group, led by Mr Steve, consisted of eight motivated Grade 9-10 students (aged 15–16). For several of them, this was their first-ever formal presentation, while others were completing the second Erasmus dissemination of their high school journey. Despite the varying levels of experience, the group delivered a remarkably polished and engaging presentation -clear proof of how much they had benefitted from the week-long programme in Lecce.

Academic aspects were a central theme. The host school offered high-level sessions in ICT, digital creativity, and sustainability-focused workshops, allowing students to explore environmental challenges and technological solutions from an international perspective. Their slides highlighted hands-on activities, collaborative tasks with Italian peers, and the new digital skills they acquired.

The students also reflected on the cultural dimension of their stay in southern Italy. Their presentation featured photographs and personal stories from visits to Lecce’s Baroque old town, local landmarks, and nearby coastal sites. They spoke enthusiastically about the unique atmosphere, warm hospitality, and the opportunity to experience daily life in a different cultural environment.

Overall, the Lecce group impressed the audience with confident speaking, strong visual materials, and heartfelt personal reflections. Their work demonstrated both academic learning and personal development.

Ivancice Mobility – Guided by Mr Harout

The second Erasmus group, led by Mr Harout, travelled to Ivancice, a town near Brno in the Czech Republic. This group consisted of nine Grade 12 students, making the presentation especially meaningful: it was their final Erasmus mobility after a long sequence of four successful projects during their time at Avicenna. Their experience and maturity were clearly visible in the structure, depth, and professionalism of their dissemination.

Academically, the students highlighted their work at the Czech host institution, with a strong focus on ICT activities, sustainability, and collaborative problem-solving tasks adapted to local themes and regional environmental issues. They also appreciated the different European perspective on digital education and ecological awareness.

Culturally, the Ivancice group showcased the rich history and traditions of South Moravia. Their presentation included accounts of visiting Brno’s historical centre, local museums, and regional landmarks. They described Czech customs, cuisine, and the unique rhythm of life they experienced during the programme.

As this mobility marked the final chapter of their long-standing Erasmus involvement, many students reflected on how these four projects had shaped their academic path, confidence, and intercultural understanding.

Both presentations demonstrated the value of Erasmus group mobility programmes: improved digital and academic skills, strengthened sustainability awareness, and meaningful intercultural experiences. The 21 November dissemination event once again proved how well the students represent Avicenna abroad- and how international programmes continue to enrich the school community.
